We loved The Garden Coffee so much that we ended up coming five times during our one-week holiday—and even ordered takeaway for dinner because we simply couldn’t get enough. It became our little sanctuary on Phu Quoc. The space itself is beautiful and incredibly relaxing. We spent hours here enjoying the calm atmosphere, playing card games, drawing, and writing in our diaries while the staff made sure we were always comfortable. The level of service was exceptional: friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded, with staff who spoke excellent English and were always happy to go the extra mile. The food was consistently high-quality Vietnamese cooking, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The smoothies and the blended coconut coffee were true standouts—so good that they became part of our daily routine. Everything was priced very fairly, especially considering the quality. The Garden Coffee quickly became one of our favourite places on Phu Quoc. A perfect mix of great food, wonderful drinks, warm service, and a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Overview
I still remember the first time I wandered into The Garden Coffee, Food & Spa, tucked away along 7WPJ+6WW, ĐT45, Cửa Dương, Phú Quốc, Kiên Giang. I had planned to stop for a quick coffee, but the place had a way of slowing you down. The open garden layout, shaded by tropical trees, felt more like a calm retreat than a typical diner. Locals were chatting over breakfast plates, travelers were scrolling through phones with iced coffee in hand, and no one seemed in a rush.
The menu is where the place really shows its personality. It blends comfort food with healthier options, which makes sense given the spa side of the business. You’ll find Vietnamese classics like banh mi and pho sitting comfortably next to smoothie bowls, fresh salads, and Western-style brunch dishes. I once watched a couple at the next table split a full English breakfast while also ordering a detox juice, which summed up the vibe perfectly. According to data from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, wellness-focused dining has grown steadily in popular destinations like Phú Quốc, and this spot clearly understands that shift without making it feel forced.
Coffee is taken seriously here, and it shows in both taste and process. The staff explained that their beans are sourced from Vietnam’s Central Highlands, a region recognized by organizations like the International Coffee Organization for producing high-quality Robusta and Arabica. You can taste the difference in their slow-drip coffee, which has a smoother finish and less bitterness. Watching the barista prepare it is almost meditative, and it pairs surprisingly well with their homemade pastries. One regular told me he comes every morning before work because the consistency beats most cafes nearby, and judging by the reviews online, he’s not alone.
Food service is relaxed but attentive. Orders come out fresh, and the kitchen seems happy to adjust dishes for dietary needs. When I asked about reducing sugar in a smoothie, the staff didn’t hesitate and even suggested alternatives. That kind of flexibility builds trust, especially for long-stay visitors who care about what they eat. Nutrition research published by the World Health Organization often highlights the benefits of balanced meals with fresh ingredients, and you can see that philosophy reflected in how dishes are put together here.
The spa component adds another layer that most diners don’t expect. While I didn’t book a full treatment on my first visit, I did talk to a guest who had just finished a herbal foot soak before lunch. She described it as deeply relaxing, and said it changed how she enjoyed her meal afterward. The spa uses traditional techniques combined with modern hygiene standards, which aligns with best practices recommended by global wellness associations. It’s not a medical facility, and they’re clear about that, but for stress relief and simple self-care, it fits nicely into a vacation day.
Location-wise, being in Cửa Dương makes it easy to reach from different parts of the island without the chaos of busier tourist strips. Parking is straightforward, and the garden setting helps buffer road noise. Reviews often mention how quiet it feels despite being on ĐT45, which matches my experience every time I’ve gone back.
If there’s a limitation, it’s that peak hours can mean a short wait, especially during late mornings. Still, most people seem happy to linger, sip coffee, and enjoy the surroundings. That patience says a lot about the atmosphere. Everything about the place encourages you to slow down, eat well, and maybe treat yourself a little, which feels exactly right for Phú Quốc.

The massage with Mrs Kim was wonderful. I woke up the next day finally without pain in my back. Very kind staff, nice ambience and pleasant decorations. Also, the drinks we had there were very good. I highly recommend that place!
The best restaurant on the island, a cozy and truly relaxing atmosphere that really brings the happinesses. A must come place with high quality spa and foods that everyone will surly love this place. Definitely will come back again!
We found a charming cafe next to our resort! Lovely and very kind staff, delicious Vietnamese coffee, mango juice, peaceful garden and adorable kittens. The staff takes a great care of their many cats Love this place!!!
We came across this restaurant by chance. The Banh Mi was generously filled with meat and fairly priced, though in terms of flavor it didn’t really stand out without any sauce. On the other hand, the mango smoothie and juice were excellent — definitely a highlight. The garden setting also created a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
Really nice setting, tucked back from the main road so easily missed Great smoothies, traditional coffees and the food was great. I had bánh mì with meatballs and egg - light snack. Lovely job.
